The fuel, gas and electricity crisis in the country will be resolved within the next week, Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa told a cabinet meeting last night.
The Minister said that a loan of US $ 500 million has been received from India for fuel imports and the process of purchasing fuel from that amount has already begun.
The Minister stated that a loan of US $ 1500 million has been obtained for the importation of essential commodities, pharmaceuticals and raw materials for industries.
